ZAMBIANS should not be disappointed and despair over unfulfilled promises and rhetoric but should only rely on God, Archbishop of Lusaka Alick Banda has said.
He said that there was too much deception going on and that it was important for people to concentrate on prayer.
Archbishop Banda said during mass at Roma Parish in Lusaka yesterday that there was also need for Zambians to adopt a culture of forgiveness and tolerance for the sake of peace in the country.
Archbishop Banda said that God was very tolerant with individuals and that was the more reason that Zambians needed to adopt that culture.
He said forgiveness did not mean that you should become friends but that it was just important to ensure that they started a new page.
“We need to be in an intimate relationship with God because he understands our needs some of which cannot be fulfilled by mortal men,” he said.
