By KETRA KALUNGA

ABOUT US$750 million  out of the US$2 billion investment pledges for Central Province has been actualised following the successful hosting of the first-ever expo in 2018, provincial minister, Credo Nanjuwa has said.

Mr. Nanjuwa said the US$750 million has been actualised through the construction of the Chibombo Multi-Facility Economic Zone among other investments in the province.

He told the media in Kabwe that the provincial administration has embarked on a campaign to pursue the pending pledges so that they are actualised and bring development to the area. “We have embarked on a very serious campaign on the investments in the province so we are pursuing the investment pledges, if they are still attainable we want to ensure they come to the province,” he said.

And Mr. Nanjuwa assured that he would ensure that a financial report on the 2018 expo is released for transparency.

He said it’s important for the provincial administration to be transparent to attract more investors to the area.

Mr. Nanjuwa also assured that the provincial administration would be more than willing to help with the audit if there would be a need for an audit to be queried on the first-ever expo held in 2018.
