COP OPTS OUT OF ADULTEROUS MARRIAGE
A POLICE officer of Livingstone has divorced her adulterous husband after he impregnated her cousin and named the baby after himself.
Mweembe Sialwindi, 31, giving evidence in a case where she sued Winston Mubanga, 32, for divorce, said besides her cousin, Mubanga has been cheating on her with different women.
Sialwindi told Livingstone Local Court that despite empowering him with a motor vehicle when he was not working, Mubanga, who is a bus driver, continued doublecrossing her.
The court heard that further problems in the couple’s marriage got worse when Sialwindi brought in her cousin to live with them.
“My cousin got pregnant but when I inquired who was responsible for the pregnancy, she failed to explain,” she said.
Sialwindi said her cousin later decided to go and stay in Kalomo, where she gave birth to a baby boy. She said she was shocked to learn that her cousin’s baby had been named after her husband as “Winston Mwansa Mubanga Junior’.
