Mopani stand off
Dear Editor,
As the Government reforms the mining industry serious consideration should be given to the power sector to ensure that the controversy that befell Mopani Mine does not happen again. Power supply and distribution should be left to the mines in the same way that the previous mines did. It was a mistake to put a middle man such as CEC in between Zesco and the Mines.

Agriculture prices must be controlled
Dear Editor,
The Government should have a hand in all agriculture produce prices. It is not fair that hard working farmers are left to the mercy of an imperfect market system that always favours the consumer and not the producer.

Historical problems
Dear Editor,
THE heart weighs the motive of man. This is the man who is also at the centre of the ZCCM saga which left a big wound on the people on the Copperbelt; some died and shockingly even today it seems this man has not come to his senses. This man is very arrogant. Please pastors don’t sink low because as men God this man will embarrass you soon.

Prayers or repentance?
Dear Editor,
I agree with the writer of the article in the Daily Nation paper August 31 headed “ Prayers for HH a political sham.” In the first place, he doesn’t need to be honored with prayers. He needs to make amends with people he has offended.

ZESCO robbing us
Dear Editor,
I want to find out why ZESCO is stealing from us poor Zambians. Mr Kapata said domestic consumers will not be much affected but we are the worst affected. You buy electricity for K50 and you are given 2 units. This month of September will be the worst. Let the President do something.

PF secretary general please mobilise grassroot
Editor,
I would like to advise my brother to better start mobilizing PF at the grassroot level. Here in Mufulira your men at the district committee are busy chasing for contracts.

Well done LWSC
Editor,
I would like to thank the Lusaka water and Sewerage Company for almost ending the sewerage leakages in Kaunda Stage One. But my visit to Stage One on Friday revealed that only one serious case is remaining on entering the township from Kaunda primary school. According to people it has been there for some time and has not been reported.

Mutati debate is a waste of time
Editor,
Whether or not Finance Minister Felix Mutati should be fired for supporting his party is not very logical. We all know that he was appointed for being President of MMD, which party supported the Patriotic Front(PF) to get into power. Why then should it now become an issue that he is the leader of an opposition party, a position that we are all aware of?
