HEALTH Minister Sylvia Masebo has said, the country has hit 83.6 percent covid-19 vaccination.
She said, currently 4.2 million eligible people have received at least one dose, and 9 million fully vaccinated.
The minister said, the statistics are encouraging but more needs to be done to ensure that people are fully protected from the pandemic.
Ms Masebo has since advised those who have received one dose to get the second or booster dose in order to safeguard their lives.
“Those who received the first dose should not end from there but get a second dose or a booster. We as a people we need to ensure that our lives are protected from COVID 19,” she said.
She said, her ministry will not relent but ensure that the all Zambians are vaccinated in order for the country has a health population.
Ms Masebo said, the only way the country will attain the desired development, is when the country has the population which is health.
