Expansion of schools cheers Manyinga Residents

The continued expansion and construction of school infrastructure in Manyinga by the government has elated community.

Government is constructing a 1X2 classroom block at Chibeba and another 1X 2 classroom block at Mawande primary schools.

Works on both projects is at 90 percent complete while a 1X2 classroom block has been completed at New Loloma Secondary School among other on-going projects.

Manyinga Stakeholders Association chairman Patrick Kamboyi said it has been a cry of parents and various stakeholders to see to it that new classrooms are built to cushion the challenges faced by schools in the district.

Mr Kamboyi said that good school infrastructure provide a conducive learning environment which result into improves the learner performance.

‘’And for this, we want to thank government for the initiative,’’ Mr Kamboyi said.

Meanwhile, a senior citizen and a retired teacher Aldophina Kasanga has appealed to Government to expedite plans of constructing a girls boarding school in the district.

She said a girls boarding school will encourage the girl -child to concentrate on education and help reduce early pregnancies and marriages among school girls.
