CAMA FESTIVAL OPENS WITH FOCUS ON Child Rights

The Plan International sponsored Chris Aka Media and Arts festival (CAMA) opened on Thursday at Musaka Lodge in Katuba’s 15 Miles area with a workshop on child rights and early marriages.

This festival which is the first of its kind is meant to last for three days and bring musicians in one place to create awareness on child rights and campaign against early marriages.

The opening day on Friday, was dedicated to discussions and education on the issues of early child marriages.Participants, who were mainly musicians were engaged in various consultations and interactions to tackle the issue.

Amongst those present included the ever green, Amayenge Band, Liseli Sisters, Marvin, Bongo Farai, Milz the Teacher, James Chamanyazi, Harry B and Chris Aka to name only a few.

The second day and the third day are for music performances and awareness. Fans and music lovers are encouraged to visit Musaka Lodge for this rare event which closes today.

The many artistes lined up for performances are mostly those that are very keen in promoting the social agenda.

Expected to perform are B-Flow, Drimz, Milz, Sista D, Maureen Lilanda and many
others.
