SAFADA blasts gov’t over agriculture insurance failures

SMALL-SCALE Farmers Development Agency executive director, Boyd Moobwe, has criticised Government for failing to enhance agriculture insurance among farmers
Mr. Moobwe, explained that despite the government introducing the weather index insurance programme where farmers were contributing K100, there has been a lack of follow-up in teaching farmers about the significance of insurance.
He says many farmers are unaware of this initiative and it has not been given the attention it deserves and consequently, farmers are now facing hardships due to the dry spells affecting the country . CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
