The ruling UPND Katombola Member of Parliament CLEMENT ANDALEKI has called for peace between Republican President Hakainde Hichilema and former Republican President Edgar Lungu.
Dr Andaleki says the step will surely unite the country.
The lawmaker says Zambia is only blessed with two leaders so far, therefore, it is not healthy when they are not in good terms.
Dr Andaleki says when the two leaders unite they will be able to working together which will enhance the development of the country.
Dr Andaleki says it will be impressive to see that the two leaders celebrate the forthcoming Independence day, to be held on 24,2022, together.
“President Hakainde Hichilema and President Edgar Lung are the only leaders which we have as a country. So we want to see that the two brothers unite as this will bring the country together.
“My wish is to see them come together and celebrate the Independence day. This will be a good thing for this country,” he says.
The lawmaker indicated that the country needs to see that the leaders are in harmony.
