OPPOSITION National Restoration Party-NAREP- has counselled former Cabinet Ministers, Chishimba Kambwili and Harry Kalaba to halt their corruption allegations against President Lungu’s administration alleging that the duo benefited from it.

NAREP president, Elias Chipimo said the two former ministers were in government when the alleged corruption took place and should blame themselves for having kept quiet when they were serving in government.

He said it was surprising that individuals who were part and parcel of a system had now turned round and blamed government of being corrupt.

“Why are these former ministers failing to take the evidence to the Anti-corruption commission,” Mr Chipimo said.

Mr Chipimo said the former Ministers should acknowledge their sins and accept that they also participated in corruption.

“Just come out in the open and accept that you participated in the corruption you are alleging and got a ka little something so that those who are corrupt can be brought to book,” he said.

He further said Ministers who stayed in office after the dissolution of parliament in 2016 must pay back the money they received during the period they illegally occupied their positions.
