HAKAINDE Hichilema is insulting all the organizations, including international observer missions that monitored the 2016 elections, by claiming that the election was stolen by the Patriotic Front (PF), Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) president Wright Musoma has claimed.

Mr Musoma said that it was absurd for Mr Hichilema to continue claiming that he won last year’s elections when the Electoral Commission of Zambia, including all the organizations that monitored the election, had declared it free and fair.

He said the UPND leader was insulting all the organizations including international observer missions that monitored the 2016 elections by claiming that the election was stolen from him.

Mr Musoma said in an interview with the Daily Nation that Mr Hichilema would help his supporters if he accepted defeat rather than living in denial.

He explained that the UPND president was giving his supporters false hope by reporting to the international organizations whom he might soon castigate if they did not do anything about it.

Mr Musoma said Mr Hichilema had suffered enough and that he was not doing himself any good by fighting a losing battle.

“The brother has suffered enough and is not doing himself any good by fighting a losing battle. He is even giving his supporters false hope by reporting the election issue to the international community. We know him, he will soon start castigating them once they don’t do anything about it.

“Mr Hichilema is insulting all the organizations including international observer missions that monitored the 2016 elections by claiming that the election was stolen from by the PF,” he said.

Mr Musoma advised Mr Hichilema to concentrate on mobilizing the party in readiness for the 2021 elections.

He warned that the UPND leader’s continued pursuit of an election outcome that was already lost showed that he was desperate to become the Head of State.

Mr Musoma wondered the kind of president Mr Hichilema would be with the level of panic he had continued to exhibit.
