Copperbelt-based musician Tolo Tiger has asked more musicians to get involved in creating sensitisation against early marriages.

The singer who recently released a single ‘Mulekeni Asambilile’ with B-Flow targeted at creating awareness on the need to take children to school and avoid child marriages, says he is appalled at the high levels of early marriages in the country and in Africa as a whole.

“I strongly believe that we musicians have the duty to sensitise the masses on various social evils. We are the voice of the voiceless and seeing reports on child marriages almost every day is very disappointing. We need to be actively involved in this fight and I urge fellow musicians to join in the fight,” he says.

Tolo Tiger has also announced that the ‘Mulekeni Asambilile’ video will be released soon to emphasise on his fight against early marriages. He has extended his thanks to the many people that are offering support to his cause. These include Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kan’gombe, Mathew Ngulube Jr, Daniel Makina and Joe Walace to mention only a few.

After the video release, Tolo Tiger plans a campaign tour of the nation to raise awareness.
