CORPORATE executive Andrew Kalima says Zambians should be self-assured that President Hakainde Hichilema will apply his business acumen to develop the country.
Mr Kalima said in a statement that there was need to appreciate Mr Hichilema’s ability to improve lives of Zambians through his ambitious agenda to diversify the national economy.
He said he was confident that President Hichilema would apply his business skills to address needs of Zambians such as employment which he notes would be offered on merit.
Mr Kalima, who is also a financial expert, said that Zambians should expect careful use of public funds meant for development because of Mr Hichilema background in finance.
“Zambians are highly expectant from the skills of Mr Hichilema because the country has no space in the area of limited capacity to promote business, which attracts investments both local and foreign to add value to the economic prospects as well as improving the welfare of the people,” he said.
Mr Kalima said Mr Hichilema had the capacity and professional skills to improve the different economic sectors of the country.
He said it was interesting that Mr Hichilema has vast experience to grow the agriculture sector as a way of reducing dependence on mining as the mainstay of the economy.
Mr Kalima said a progressive country always has a leader at its helm with vast experience to manage affairs affecting the nation.
