THE construction of a clinic in Libala will soon start following a court judgement on the disputed land which has ruled in favour of the Lusaka City Council, says Libala Ward 7 councillor Stanley Kachibe.

Mr Kachibe said the construction of a clinic in Hill View area on a land which was under dispute had been resolved following a court ruling passed in favour of the council.

He expressed happiness that Libala would soon have a clinic closer to the community which would offer health services for their convenience.

He said Libala Ward 7 did not have a clinic and that the construction of the health facility would save residents’ time and transport money.

‘‘Libala ward 7 will soon have a clinic following the court ruling on the disputed land in Hill View area which was passed in favour of the Lusaka City Council,’’ Mr Kachibe said.

Mr Kachibe said other development projects included the putting up of a sub-station by ZESCO at Tokyo Way and the construction of shopping malls and a bank at Looters area.

He said sports facilities for football and netball grounds were underway such as at Mkandawire School which would offer recreational activities and help youths avoid vices such as alcohol and drug abuse.

He said Libala needed more recreational facilities such as play parks and other attractive places were youths could spend their time constructively.
