PF writes to IG over youth day attacks

THE Patriotic Front (PF) has written to Inspector General of Police Lemmy Kajoba  to complain over the recent attacks perpetrated by UPND cadres on Youth Day.

PF youth chairperson Christopher Kang’ombe said he had written two letters comprised the arrest of anyone wearing PF regalia after the fracas, in this case the victims PF members and leaving the aggressors from UPND who instigated the violence by throwing stones.

Mr Kang’ombe said the other matter was the decision by the Police officers to grab medical reports from the 15 injured PF youths who went to get medical attention at Kitwe Teaching Hospital.

He said the Police exists and was funded through tax payers money to protect everyone regardless of political affiliation.

“I am confident that our written complaints to the IG will receive the required adequate attention,” he said.

Mr Kang’ombe said the 15 youths who were attacked include Esther Malama, Bwalya fewdays, Vivian Mubanga, Malipilo Emma, Emmanuel Mwape, James Mfula, Elizabeth Phiri, Doris Mwape, John shanzi, Bearius ng’ambi, Shadreck Nsofwa, Aaron mulongoti, Roidah Chabala, Martha Chisala and Ruth Bwalya.
