… call for disciplinary action against
Kalaba

By MUYANI SHINJABALE

AS Patriotic Front (PF) youths on the Copperbelt, we are asking the top party leadership to discipline Mr Harry Kalaba because we don’t want to see selfish and disloyal leaders within the ranks of our party, provincial Youth chairman Nathan Chanda has charged.

“We find it strange and uncalled for the continued allegations of corruption in government which cannot be proved,” he said.

Mr Chanda said it was ridiculous that the nation had so many leaders who were preoccupied with taking over State House.

Mr Chanda said it was evident that some people still couldn’t believe that leadership came from God and that there was no way that allegations of corruption and an evil crusade against President Edgar Lungu would take them to State House.

In a statement to the Daily Nation, the youth chairman noted that he had heard people alleging that there was too much corruption in government but without any proof.

“Some have continued to speak without thinking and looking at themselves, hence we will not stoop so low as to  join this dirty kind of politics as youths just for them to gain cheap political mileage and sympathy because we know a lot about them,” he said.

And Mr. Chanda urged Honorable Harry Kalaba to take evidence of corruption to the investigative wings to ensure he did not lose the respect of people.

“Mr Kalaba, you were minister for four (4) solid years, what have you done for the PF youths? Just mention 5 here on the Copperbelt because as Copperbelt youths, we have not seen or benefited from you being a minister in the PF government.

Mr Chanda said the youths on the Copperbelt will not take lightly to self-centred individuals who want to derail the vision of the President for the Zambian people. He said youths were running out of patience with selfish leaders and expected the central committee to act within the shortest possible time.
