AFTER enduring protracted political and legal battles, Pastor Nevers Mumba has returned to the pulpit with his once popular programme “Zambia Shall Be Saved” and condemned Africans’ knack for always begging, especially from the west.

Unlike in the 1990s when he presented the programme on ZNBC television, Dr. Mumba has now turned to radio where he is presenting it on Radio Christian Voice starting around 05:05 hours every Tuesday.

On yesterday’s programme, Pastor Mumba said Africans had plenty of qualifications to beg and that Africans loved to live off other people.

“That is why there are 20 people, 50 people in one house because uncle has a house in Johannesburg. They all move from the village, pack the house, no school, they have no jobs.

They are reading the newspaper they don’t know to read, watching television they don’t know how it comes and depending on electricity they don’t know where it comes from.

“If nobody tells them to move they will die watching television. It is time to realize that responsibility must come to us. You say my uncle is very generous.

No he is not generous, he is destroying your destiny…this is not an African message and some people are already disliking me but you will like me 10 years later,” he said.

He said Africa was struggling because it could not be weaned from the west, adding that Africans were now stressed and tired of begging.
