THE Veterinary Association of Zambia (VAZ) says the prolonged dry spell that has hit six provinces, including Southern, Western, Central and Lusaka provinces among others has adversely affected the livestock sector.
VAZ president Malcolm Chiyobe said most of the livestock depend on water and pasture for their survival but because of the drought, the pastures and rivers have withered and dried up, living cattle vulnerable.
