HH should reflect seriously on his life

Dear Editor,
THIS is not the time to talk about the release of Hakainde Hichilema of the UPND because the matter is now beyond every Zambian for such consideration.
Not even President Lungu has powers to let him off the hook except the courts which may decide otherwiese after the trial is over.
So for now I think it is time for HH to seriously reflect on his life and like that English idiomatic proverb or figure of speech, he cannot have the cake and eat it.
He should begin to see life in a different sort of way and say thank you to life for all the little ups and downs that make it worth living.
The ups and downs are a part of one’s vocation, although this completely depends on how you take it.
You can either be knocked down by the adverse things, or you can take it in a constructive way and learn from it.
Above all, he should begin to look to Jesus Christ seriously and the Lord will open the way for him and achieve whatever he is dreaming about in his life.
On the other hand, if chooses to be egotistical as he has been, life will not be easy for him because often times we reap what we sow.
A mango tree cannot produce a paw-paw fruit. It is as simple as that.
He should know that the longer he stays away in prison, his business empire risks a serious disintegration – and all for what?
Indeed, he and his cohorts can choose not to recognise President Lungu as Head of State but where does that leave them? Nowhere.
They can forever be in a strop but the truth is that Lungu is now in State House and nothing can remove him from there until perhaps 2021 through the ballot.
I know it is this truth that pains HH and his followers the most, but it is the naked reality that always hurts.
It cannot be changed, only it could get worse should the law allow Lungu to stand again in 2021 because this time round he will come more prepared, invigorated, organised and play true politics because he has known his political competitors inside out.
It is just a matter of time and one day soon or later I will be proved right.
