‘Don’t weaken your position by harassing the former first family’

By KETRA KALUNGA

DON’T weaken your position by harassing the former first family because people who voted for Edgar Lungu will defend him and that is how government become weak, Lawyer, Tutwa Ngulube has warned the UPND administration.

Mr. Ngulube said the UPND leadership should stop harassing the former first family because the people would rise and it would be difficult to contain them because they are already agitated with the high cost of living.

He said in an interview that the summoning of the former First Lady, Easter Lungu was aimed at harassing the former President, Edgar Lungu because they know that he would be agitated as her husband.

“Let them know how to live with the people. When President Hakainde was in opposition, no one harassed his wife because she is not a politician, the former first lady, Madam Esther Lungu is no politician, what do they want from her?,” he said.

Mr. Ngulube warned that the fight the UPND have started would end badly because they would not be in power forever so they should expect the same to happen to them and their families.

He warned that Zambians were already angry  about the cost of living and the many unfulfilled promises so they are prone to being influenced by those that they voted for.

Mr. Ngulube said Zambian people are angry and should not be underrated because those who voted for Mr. Lungu would rise to defend his family and that is how UPND government become weak, therefore they should tread carefully not to weaken their position.
