NELLY Mutti, Speaker of National Assembly yesterday told Parliament that she will today visit Mr Emmanuel Jay Banda who is recovering at Maina Soko Military Hospital and get firsthand information about his condition.
Mr Banda, an Independent Member of Parliament for Petauke Central has been admitted to the military facility after he suffered torture and trauma at the hands of unknown people who abducted him nearly three weeks ago.
Ms Mutti made the remarks after Mr Binwell Mpundu, the Nkana Independent Member of Parliament, rose on an urgent matter questioning if the Minister of Defence was in order to confine his counterpart at the military health facility against his will.
