MAXIS AND MOTUL OILS MOTOR CROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS

VEHICLE Centre Zambia has through its brands Maxis and Motul aided the Zambia Motor Sport Association (ZMSA) with US$14, 000 for the 2022 Enduro and Moto Cross championships to be held in Mkushi, Livingstone, Siavonga and Mazabuka.

CFAO Group and Vehicle Centre Zambia Chief Executive Officer, Dino Bianchi said the group was encouraged to continue its partnership with ZMSA after a successful 2021 season.

Bianchi said the CFAO group as sponsor was looking forward to an exciting and safe 2022 Enduro and Moto Cross championship.

“Last year we sponsored ZMSA with US$16, 503 which was used in building a medical first aid room at Mkushi Motor Track, provided medical evacuation services at Enduro events and catered for other logistical requirements.

“Considering our successful partnership last year we have decided to continue with our sponsorships hence sponsoring US$14, 000 towards this Enduro and Moto Cross championship for 2022,” Bianchi said.

And ZMSA president Sam Chingambu took advantage of the event to launch the 2022 ZMSA calendar.

Chingambu hailed CFAO group for the support which he said contributed massively to hosting a successful 2021 motor sport season.

He urged the corporate world to emulate Zambia’s authorised distributor of Ford and VW vehicles to promote motor sport. 

Meanwhile, ZMSA Vice President –  Motorcycling Stewart Parkes announced plans to introduce a lot more riders to compete in this year’s competition.

Parkes said ZMSA Motorcycling had lined up 14 events and four will be held in Livingstone, Mkushi and Cihisamba.

Parkes said ZMSA would introduce a new disciplines called Hard Enduro which will be held in Siavonga, Livingstone and Mazabuka.

He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to produce riders who would go on to compete at international championships

And National Sports Council of Zambia General Secretary, Raphael Mulenga hailed Motul and Maxis for supplementing government’s efforts to develop sports.
