ZAPRA DESCRIBES 2021 AS CHALLENGING
By ANDREW MUKOMA
THE Zambia Public Relations Association (ZAPRA) has described the year 2021 as challenging with the Covid-19 pandemic which has con- tinued to impact the lives of Zambians and economy.
ZAPRA has disclosed that because of the pandemic, the country lost a number of Public Relations (PR) and Communication Specialists during the year while other practitioners recovered from the pandemic.
On the other hand, the pandemic reinforced innova- tive ways of information dis- semination and stakeholder engagement through online/ digital platforms such as on Zoom, Google Meet, Webinar and Meta (previously known as Facebook), among others.
The Association therefore, expects PR and Communica- tion specialists to continue embracing online/digital plat- forms to disseminate infor- mation to the masses as the Covid-19 environment con- tinues under the fourth wave.
