Kambwili not king of Copperbelt

CHISHIMBA Kambwili should stop behaving like he is the kingpin of the Copperbelt as the Patriotic Front (PF) is bigger than him, National Revolution Party (NRP) president Cosmo Mumba has charged.

Dr Mumba said that Mr Kambwili had become a disappointment in the PF and that his behaviour was worrisome.

He warned Mr Kambwili to stop behaving like the king of the Copperbelt as the party was bigger than him.

Dr Mumba reiterated that Roan Constituency law maker should not be glorifying himself that he owned PF when he only controlled a small fraction of cadres. “What support can Kambwili brag about, just a few women cheering for him at the mall and he thinks he is the king pin of the Copperbelt,” he said.

Dr Mumba charged that the senior official had turned into a bitter man following his firing as cabinet minister by President Edgar Lungu.

He noted that Mr Kambwili had in the recent days been against the developmental agenda of PF Government which he was a part of.

“Kambwili thinks that he is popular and the glory of the Copperbelt. He should resign on moral grounds if he is not ready to work with President Lungu. He has become a disappointment to the PF, why was he not speaking out when he was minister?” he questioned. He also wondered why Mr Kambwili who is a member of the PF central committee was pretending to be the voice of the poor now that he was no longer a minister.
