HH SAYS ALL ZAMBIANS WILL BE TREATED EQUALLY UNDER HIS REIGN

Newly elected President Hakainde Hichilema says all Zambians will be treated equally, equitably and fairly under his administration.

And President Hichilema has sternly warned UPND sympathisers against damaging people’s property and lawlessness.

Speaking when he addressed the media, at his residence in New Kasama, President Hichilema said there would be no favouritism in his governance style.

“It does not matter how you look by colour, by height , by your features. It won’t matter, under this administration, it won’t matter who your mother, and who your father is because you never made that decision,” President Hichilema said.

“You will be an equal citizen of this beloved country called Zambia. Mark our words. Get your scripts and your pencil beside and keep marking as we serve you. In the months, in the years to come and after five years, check your toll and see how we have walked the talk. I think we will pass with flying colours.”

Hichilema said his pronouncement of equality of citizens would be reflected in the appointment of his cabinet.

“For those that voted for us and those that did not, you will be treated equally, equitably, fairly that is important to us .We will run this country without preference for any group over another. We will govern without selectivism,” Hichilema said.

“Your sir name won’t matter.”
President Hichilema said his administration would resonate the ‘one Zambia, one nation’ motto in its governance.

“The cabinet will represent this country, you will see that and you will make your own judgement. We will send a signal that that phraseology, we will leave it a few days from now” President Hichilema said time had come to move forward beyond the party ship of the election.

“The election to some people invoked anger and to some people, they said things that should never be said about another human being I think you know what I am talking about. People who sang the song of ethnic hatred, but yet in their home town, they lost to us who they demonised,” he said.
“Now is the time to forgive such people.”
And Hakainde has asked UPND symphathisers to stop damaging other citizen’s property.

“Yes we all know that we are victims of retribution, we are not about to take public office to replace those that have been very violent against our people and only to start a new wave of violence. We are not about to do that. I I have heard. I have seen on social media some people out there damaging property, attacking citizens.

I am aware that some of those citizens who were being attacked where the violent ones against us but I put it you that if you want to show that you occupy a high moral ground, do not attack the, do not damage their property,” President Hichilema said.

“Namikuba ban aba yesu, namilomba, come out of the streets.”

President Hichilema said in a few days, caderism, would be a thing of the past,” There will be no bus stop you will fear to go to, there is no taxi rank that will be a no go area for you.

You can wear your PF T-shirt, you can wear your any other party T-shirt including UPND,” he said.

The President elect further assured citizens and media houses of their total freedoms under his regime.

He also apologized to Prime TV for its closure by the previous regime and assured that the media house would be back in business.

And President Hichilema said although his government had zero tolerance against corruption it would not use its chance to serve the Zambians as a political vindictive platform.

Meanwhile President Hichilema has assured the youths that change socially and economically had come for them.

“You were on the queue to register as voters. We took note of that and I think some people did not take not of that,” President Hichilema said.

“The energy and passion that was exhibited by this population. You have a higher stake… You sent a clear, resounding message that has gone viral around the world.

We have heard you.
He also assured that former president Lungu was safe under his administration.
