KABIMBA WARNS STATE

By ADRIAN MWANZA

THE new dawn government should expect hostile treatment when they leave office as there is no decency in the way they are inciting investigative wings to conduct their activities by humiliating Zambians, Rainbow Party National Secretary Wynter Kabimba has warned.

Mr Kabimba said that the ACC and DEC had no decency in the execution of their duties and that it was a shame that they harassed former presidential aide Amos Chanda. He said when he featured on Millennium Radio that investigative wings were traumatising the people they were investigating as if they were hard core criminals.

‘’Do you think Amos Chanda can’t have K95, 000 cash when he has a number of businesses and I’m sure he is even being owed gratuity because the figure is just too small for him,’’ Kabimba said. He said that there was need to ensure that they acted more professionally and wondered how would they compensate him if at all he was found innocent because the trauma was too much.

Mr Kabimba said it was this lack of decency that made people think that they were being told what to do by higher authorities. He also questioned the criteria used when dealing with the Faith Musonda issue because whoever would be found wanting would freely declare their assets without going to jail.

Mr Kabimba said that they had set a precedent that would become normal for people that looted public resources. Zambia should emulate China which is extremely serious about the fight on corruption and they do not take chances at all.
