LLOYD Kaziya will now have sufficient time to concentrate on his constituency especially that people have been complaining about his absence, the Christians Against Poverty in Zambia (CAPIZ) has observed.

Mr Kaziya, who is Matero Member of Parliament, had his contract terminated as Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection by President Lungu on Wednesday.

In a statement, CAPIZ founder, Gregory Chileshe, said it was unfortunate that Mr Kaziya had been spending little time in his constituency.

Evangelist Chileshe said residents of Matero had been complaining about their MP and hoped that he would find ample time to spearhead development projects in the area.

The clergyman also commended President Lungu for transferring Agriculture Minister Dora Siliya to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services in a reshuffles saying she would be more versatile in the new ministry.

“With the MP for Matero it is most unfortunate that he has been having little time for his people who at one time complained bitterly to the President,” he said.

He also said the organisation would closely monitor the ministerial reshuffles and with particular interest the Ministry of Finance which has been taken over by former Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe, replacing Felix Mutati.

The evangelist said President Lungu knows his team better adding that he was in the best position to know who would perform according to the expectations of the Zambian people.
