PATRIOTIC Front North Western provincial chairperson Emmanuel Chihili has urged those in authority to be level-headed and avoid indulging themselves in wrongdoing while in office.
Mr Chihili said it was unfortunate that of all the provinces in the country, North Western was recording the highest corruption cases involving former leaders.
‘’It is very unfortunate to see that of all the provinces, we are having more corruption cases involving former leaders. So, it is very important for those in authority not to indulge themselves in illicit activities,’’ he said.
He said no one was above the law, hence the need for office bearers to be mindful of their dealings.
Mr Chihili has however said though the Anti-Corruption Commission was doing its job in ensuring that those involved in corrupt activities were brought to book, it was important that the commission started dealing with cases when someone was still in office.
‘’Me I will very comfortable when such issues are dealt with there and then other than waiting for someone to vacate office then you start pursuing them,’’ he added.
