IT is retrogressive for the ruling party to erase whatever good things the PF as their predecessors did for the development of the country, Citizen Democratic Party President, Robert Mwanza has said.
Mr. Mwanza alleged that the UPND was trying to erase the development that was brought by the PF and that this was sadly the trend in the country which should not be allowed to continue.
He said in an interview that the country would never progress if successful governments kept erasing what their predecessors did in terms of development.
“Whatever PF did, UPND wants to erase it or stop the development, Whatever UPND is going to do, the next party that comes into government will want to erase it, for how long are we going to do that,” he said.
Mr. Mwanza challenged the UPND administration to end the bad tendency for the country to achieve the much anticipated development.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mwanza expressed concern over the political spectrum in the country which he said was getting over crowded.
He said it was better for the country to narrow down the political parties and remain with the strong few, that way, it would be easy to assess the performance of the party in government.
Mr. Mwanza said although the flourishing of political parties was a sign of democracy it comes with a cost at the end of the day.
