Zambia records three cholera deaths in 24 hours

ZAMBIA has recorded three more cholera deaths in 24 hours.

The latest deaths bring the national cumulative number to 69 since the outbreak in January.

Statistics obtained from the Zambia National Public Health Institute indicate that the cumulative number of cholera cases stand at 2, 735 after the recorded 85 cases in the last 24 hours.

The number of cases recorded are from Lusaka, Luangwa, Chilanga, Chongwe, Vubwi and Petauke.

The affected areas had 126 admissions and 68 discharged persons bringing the cumulative discharges to 1, 726.
