Kitwe Bullets slaughter Buffaloes for first win

KITWE Bullets ended their search for the first win in the new FAZ Premier Futsal League season after beating Green Buffaloes 4-1 in a Week-5 fixture played over the weekend at Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

Bullets, who had struggled with two draws and two defeats in the first four matches outplayed Buffaloes who were determined to collect maximum points to move into the top four on the FAZ/PFL table.

Bullets first win propelled them to eighth on the log with five points, one point behind Buffaloes who were able to maintain sixth position with six points.

Meanwhile, defending champions Lusaka Automotive maintained top spot on the Futsal League table after outclassing BS Stars 9-0.

The latest victory maintained Automotive’s perfect start, winning all the five matches played so far to move to 15 points.

Auto are two points ahead of second-placed Mudi Stars who enjoyed a 4-2 win over Monze George who were relegated to ninth position on the log.

In other matches played over the weekend, Siavonga Beetles moved to seventh on the log with six points after defeating Mthunzi 6-4.

Mthunzi remains as the only team yet to win a match after losing all the five matches they have played.  

Lusaka Avengers moved to third on the league table after edging CSS Petauke with a 6-5 win.

The win propelled Avengers to 10 points, on par with second-placed Mudi Stars who have a better goal difference.
