A PURPORTED Patriotic Front (PF) member Moses Sakala has claimed that Mr Brian Mundubile was not elected to the position of Leader of the Opposition as required by the Constitution, thus, his ascendance to the position was illegal and should therefore refund the monetary benefits obtained during his tenure.
Mr Sakala in his witness statement also contends that the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ms Nelly Mutti, perpetuated the unconstitutional acts by accepting Mr Mundubile’s appointment as valid at law and accorded him the privileges and entitlements of the office of the Leader of the Opposition.
