ZESCO AFTER PRINCE MUMBA AS JESSE WERE COMPLETES MOVE TO KANANSHI

IN a quest to strengthen their squad following the release of Kenyan international Jesse Were and Zimbabwean international Tafazdwa Rusike, Zesco United have lined up Kabwe Warriors midfielder Prince Mumba as one of their transfer targets.

According to sources at Zesco United, the young Chipolopolo midfielder is deemed as a perfect replacement for Rusike whose contract was not renewed.

Zesco United have also confirmed the signing of Angolan striker, Pedro Miguel from Eden University National Division One side, Trident Football Club.

Miguel has penned a two-year contract agreement with the Super League defending champions subject to completing medicals said the club’s club Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale.

And after leaving Zesco United after five successful seasons, Were has joined Kansanshi Dynamos on a free transfer. 

According to sources, Were will soon be unveiled by Kansanshi who are also chasing the services of young Zesco United midfielder Paul Banda. 

Meanwhile, Chipolopolo striker Brian Mwila has said his good byes to BuildconFC ahead of his anticipated move to Power Dynamos. 

And Nkana FC are reported to have completed the Signing of Nigerian forward David Obashi.  Obashi joins Nkana FC on a one-year deal as a free agent after leaving Lusaka Dynamos a few months ago.

Meanwhile, Kabwe Warriors Football Club has confirmed that coach Ian Bakalahas left the club on mutual consent.

Kabwe Warriors chairman Hayden Dingwall thanked Bakala for the services he rendered since joining the Kabwe outfit from Lusaka 

Bakala’s exit at Warriors follows rumours that the club plans to unveil former Zanaco head coach Chris Kaunda as the new head coach.

Bakala was first engaged as an assistant to Levy Chabala before he took over as head coach after the exit of Chabala and managed to qualify Warriors for the CAF Confederation Cup. 

Bakala leaves Warriors on 10th position on the Super League log with 23 points from seven wins, two draws and eight defeats.
