SOME opposition political party leaders who are desperate for power, have resorted to vulgar language and insults against President Edgar Lungu instead of unveiling their vision for the country, says Zambian DNA spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa.

Mr Mulemwa said it was unfortunate that the clique of politicians had lamentably failed to spell out their vision for the country if given the chance to govern, but rather have invested their time and resources peddling falsehoods against a caring and listening Head of State.

He said desperate opposition political party leaders were in an election panic mode, and were already crying foul, as they knew that if they faced President Lungu in the 2021 election, they would lose again as they had lost many times before.

“We have noted with great concern the issuance of inflammatory, misleading and slanderous statements by the said morally bankrupt opposition political party leaders against the Republican President and we feel that such politicians must desist from such actions as they are only retrogressive,” Mr Mulemwa said.

He however, said that President Lungu was delivering on  all campaign promises, and had continued to demonstrate political will in addressing many issues affecting the nation.

Mr Mulemwa said it was not a secret that President Lungu was Mr Walk the Talk, while those attacking and spreading falsehoods against him were doing so out of ill will, with nothing to offer or contribute to the wellbeing of the nation.

He urged all well-meaning Zambians not to fall prey to the calculated schemes of selfish politicians who were desperate for regime change.
