Zanaco pledges support to clients during Covid-19 period

ZANACO Plc has pledged to not only take care of clients financing needs but of their health too in its quest to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic which has effected businesses.
With the emergence of the omicron variant at a time the delta type was fading, the bank has demonstrated agility and elasticity in responding to healthcare needs of its clients which it continues to prioritise.
“Zambia is our home and as Zanaco Plc an indigenous bank, we will not only take care of your financing needs but of your health too. A healthy citizenry is a healthy workforce that drives national productivity,” Chanda Chime Katongo Head Client Solutions, Marketing and Corporate Affairs told the Kwacha Arbitrageur Magazine.
Ms Katongo said the bank had partnered with the Ministry of Health to administer Covid-19 vaccines at 34 of its branches across the country.
This, she explained, was meant to ensure healthy clients who could continue contributing positively to the growth of the bank and improvement in its service delivery.
“We have recently partnered with the Ministry of Health to administer Covid-19 vaccines at 34 of our branches across the country in the quest to assist the state achieve its two million citizens vaccination status by year end,” Ms Katongo said.
The bank recently bagged a plethora of awards to include best trade finance by global finance, best bank by the banker and euro money while being named best employer by a local body that acknowledged among others, its immeasurable contribution in the fight against a pandemic through sustainable responsible investment.
The bank has invested about K15 million worth of oxygen, ventilators and other respiratory supply interventions at a time Zambia was severely hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
These efforts will allow for clients have their healthcare needs taken care of as they simultaneously bank.
