LIVINGSTONE FISH PONDS CONSTRUCTION STARTS

THE Zambia Agri-Business and Trade Project (ZATP) under the Ministry of Commence, Trade and Industry has commenced the construction of fish ponds for a cooperative society in Livingstone.
Livingstone Climbers Cooperative Society member Charles Muluti commended ZATP for providing a matching grant to construct the first fish pond out of the targeted 10.
Mr. Muluti also said an industrial borehole propelled by solar panels has been drilled at the site in Kabuyu, while a perimeter fence has been erected and a storage structure constructed.
And Technical Support Providers Team Leader Dr. Baba Niber expressed happiness with the impressive work done at the site.
Meanwhile, Southern Province Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator Martin Situmbeko reaffirmed the ministry’s support and commitment in providing support to the cooperative to ensure increased fish production. – NAIS.
