SUPER Division side Lusaka Dynamos has scrapped off entry charges for the disabled and children below 13 years of age in a bid to grow the club’s fan base.

Lusaka Dynamos chief executive officer Simataa Simataa said the decision by the club was aimed at allowing the physically challenged and children enjoy watching matches.

“I am into football today because my father used to take me to matches because at the time, children – both accompanied and unaccompanied – would not be charged to watch matches,” Simataa said.

He however emphasised that the move was applicable only to Dynamos home matches.

“This is the interest we want to grow in children. They will have a wing specifically dedicated to them just like those that are physically challenged and cannot have access to the terraces.

“Dynamos is also on a drive to register former players, coaches and officials so that they could watch all the home games for free in honour of their service to the club since its establishment in 1979.  “We are asking them to quickly register themselves with us so that we give them seasonal tickets for themselves and their spouses,” he said.

He disclosed that the club will this season use the 60,000 capacity National Heroes Stadium as the venue for all its home games.

Dynamos kick-off their campaign with a home match against Power Dynamos this Saturday.
