KAMBWILI IS A HYPOCRITE

CHISHIMBA Kambwili’s desperation for power has showed how hypocritical he is by apologising to the Tongas of Southern Province for being tribal, says Zambia Republican Party leader Wright Musoma.

Mr Musoma said only a fool could apologise to the people who were supporting tribalism at the expense of uniting the nation.

He said it was going to be wise and reasonable enough for Mr Kambwili to apologise to President Edgar Lungu and the PF.

“Now because of desperation he is apologising to the Tongas for supporting the wrong regarding tribalism, and this behaviour must stop because leaders are not elected based on tribe but capability,” he said.

Mr Musoma alleged that the behaviour of some chiefs and some people in Southern Province leaves much to be desired, and that this is what led to the tribal tag on the people in that province.

“It is not about the tribe that is bad, but the behaviour surrounding the same people is what is tagging the people to be tribal because they still believe that they should be in power based on tribe and not by credibility,” he said.

Mr Musoma stated that the Tongas were not naïve to believe Mr Kambwili, adding that such apologies were not genuine but aimed at satisfying one’s needs to gain political mileage.

He said the remarks by Mr Kambwili were the worst ever and showed his weaknesses in leadership on grounds that he was capable of doing things that suits him.

“A leader must not exhibit double standards which means he is not ready to rule people, and therefore his interests will not be for the people but his.

I have no kind words for Mr Kambwili because he is a disgrace to the nation and this is evident enough that his political career is going to an end,” he said.

Mr Musoma said if the Tonga chiefs were not tribal, why was it that some chiefs in Southern Province were only making noise on the arrest of UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to be released and yet there were many other citizens who were facing cases.
