..the recruitment of over 30,000 new teachers cannot go unnoticed - Dr Kambwili

By OLIVER SAMBOKO

The recruitment of over 30,000 teachers will not only improve the pupil teacher ratio but also impact positively on the social sector of the economy, says PF presidential aspirant Chishimba Kambwili.

He said he will always point out inequities of the government without fail while at the same time appreciate the good deeds that are aimed at improving the welfare of the citizens.

Dr Kambwili who congratulated the New Dawn Government for the unprecedented recruitment of over 30 000 teachers, said the gesture cannot go unnoticed especially that the government has scored one of its campaign promises.

He said it’s a well known fact that most of trained youths in the country are unemployed and therefore the step taken by the UPND government is in the right direction.

Dr Kambwili also urged government to go a step further and also consider improving conditions of service for teachers and other civil servants considering the current high cost of living in the country.

He said the salary increment will not only improve the livelihood of civil servants but also boost their morale as they carry out their duties.

Dr Kambwili said with increased workforce and disposable income, there will be a spillover effect on demand and supply of commodities.
