UPND pushing an agenda to rape constitution – Nakacinda

By GIDEON NYENDWA

UPND is pushing forward an agenda to rape the constitution, circumvent the course of justice and trying to bully the judiciary by going ahead with an illegal election, PF chairperson for information and publicity Raphael Nakacinda, has said.

Mr Nakacinda said the court just reaffirmed its position because everyone knew that going ahead with the by-election in Kabushi and Kwacha by disregarding the court order to stay the election was illegal.

He said there has been an effort by the UPND through the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to sabotage the wheels of justice by breaking the law with impunity.

Mr Nakacinda said he wonders why stakeholders that champion justice in this country have become silent..

Meanwhile, Mr Nakacinda also said the UPND leadership was planning to impose a state of emergency owing to its failure to govern the country.

He said the leadership was aware of the discontent among Zambians following the failure to deliver on their campaign promises, hence wanting to impose a state of emergency to curtail people’s rights to express themselves on their expectations from government.
