DR KAFULA Mubanga, president of Oil Marketing Companies Association (OCMAZ) says the sporadic shortage of fuel in some parts of the country is the result of the decision to procure the commodity on cash basis as opposed to credit as was the case in the past.
Dr Mubanga has since assured motorists and other consumers of petroleum products not to worry as the nation had enough fuel stock.
“Initially, people would get stock on credit and pay later. But this is no longer the case. It is cash on basis, which is a good thing. Cash is sustainable,” he said.
