MINISTER of Sports Youth and Arts Elvis Nkandu has commended the Under 17 girls national team for their spirited performance against the Atlas Lionesses in the World Cup qualifiers.
Striker Namute Chileshe scored a hatt-rick as the girls beat Morocco 3-1 in their first leg meeting played on Saturday afternoon at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Nkandu, who took time to interact with the team after the game, says the government is happy with their achievement and will continue to give them maximum support.
“We are very excited as a country that you are able to make us smile and we believe in you and we believe that even in Morocco you Wil go and take the day so thank you very much,” Nkandu said. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
