Namibian First Lady arrives for Africa CDC youth conference

NAMIBIAN First Lady and current President of the Organisation of African First Ladies Monica Geingob has arrived in Zambia.

Ms Geingob was met by Zambian First Lady Mutinta Hichilema at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport yesterday.

Ms Geingob is expected to officiate at the Africa CDC Youth Pre- Conference 2023 (YPC 2023) being held in Lusaka from today till tomorrow.

The overall goal of the Africa CDC Youth Pre-Conference is to advance and institutionalise the strategic engagement between Africa CDC and young people by providing a space for them to critically reflect on the current state of public health in Africa.

The conference is also meant for countries to share perspectives on the role of young people in public health and exchange notes on prospects and innovative solutions to enhance meaningful youth engagement in this area.

The theme for this year’s CDC conference is Youth Leadership for a Safer and Healthier Africa. – ZANIS.
