THE Bemba Royal Establishment is ready to work with Government in realizing the much-needed development in Northern Province, says Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.

The chief said he had established the Lubemba Investment Centre to identify projects at the grassroots level that would need Government partnership to address poverty among the people.

He praised the Patriotic Front government for what it was doing in Northern Province to develop the area.

This came to light when PF Secretary General Davies Mwila paid a courtesy call on him at his palace.

Chief Chitimukulu disclosed that President Edgar Lungu on his last tour of Northern Province promised to attend to a number of developmental challenges they had raised with him as the province needed its own university, rehabilitation of the Nseluka-Kayambi road, a modern hospital and bus stop, among others.

The Mwine Lubemba said his chiefdom was ready to work with Government in realizing the much-needed development in the province.

And Mr. Mwila said President Lungu’s interest was to understand how the party structures in the province were faring in terms of advancing the development agenda.

Mr Mwila said he was in the province to listen to the party’s concerns, check on mobilization and recruitment of members.

He also re-echoed President Lungu’s directive to civil servants to understand the party manifesto.

Mr Mwila called on civil servants getting involved in political activities to settle for one thing.

He asked the provincial party leaders to submit a list of Cabinet ministers not paying courtesy calls on party structures when visiting the province, saying the position remains that all ministers must visit party structures.

Mr. Mwila has called for unity and discipline in the party, saying the  PF wanted order and personal sacrifice from its rank and file.
