Suspected cadres have continued collecting money from Soweto market

SUSPECTED UPND cadres have continued harassing and collecting money from marketers at Soweto market in Lusaka.
A check by the Daily nation found alleged cadres issuing receipts as they were collecting money from traders in Soweto market in the vegetable and onion shelters.
One of the trader’s fTiko Ngulube disclosed that cadres have never stopped collecting money from them despite President Hakainde Hichilema’s stance on the matter.
Mr Ngulube said cadres also collect levy from buses that pirate along Haile Selassie road in Kanyama Township.
Mr Ngulube who trades in onion said the UPND cadres have not taken serious a cautionary note which is in line with the party’s policy of cadrism.
He said cadres have continuous conducting themselves in the thuggery manner contrary to the directive from the head of state. He urged the UPND to ensure that no party cadres are allowed to intimidate traders, adding that party flags should be removed from markets because they are public places.
