North-Western Province Commissioner of police, Elias Chushi, said all cases of child and sexual abuse against children should be reported to police at an earliest stage in order to bring the culprits to book.

The warning follows the arrest of 49-year-old man of Zambezi district identified as Patrick Makeche who defiled a 10 year old girl.
“As police, we would like to warn parents and all guardians to stop concealing cases of child and sexual abuse against their children,” Mr Chushi said Mr Chushi explained that on July 3, this year around 11:00 hours in Chitokoloki area, the victim was enticed by the suspect to have sex with her and sustained bruises on her private parts. “But the suspect failed to pay for damages,” he said.
