THE UPND has accused the ruling PF and its member of the Central Committee Kebby Mbewe of embarking on a mission to scandalize Hakainde Hichilema each time he visits the region.

According to the UPND, the ruling party and its members were failing to live with the fact that Mr Hichilema had gained popularity across the country.
UPND Southern Province Information and Publicity Secretary, Neto Halwabala, said in Livingstone that Mr Mbewe and many other PF members were always in scandalising the UPND and its leadership.
“Kebby Mbewe and Patriotic Front are always following and embarking on scandalising our president Hakainde Hichilema each time he visits Southern Province “They cannot believe how Mr Hichilema has gained popularity across the country and so they would smear cam-paign him to distract innocent Zambians from focusing on pertinent issues which need urgent address by President Edgar Lungu and his administration,” he said.
Mr Halwabala said that the PF had always tried to use rejected individuals in Southern Province to demean Mr Hichilema and UPND but that their voices were falling on deaf ears.
“It would be wise also for PF to stop cheap propaganda and concentrate on economic recovery as opposed to talking about Mr Hichilema and following him with lies to set agenda for the Zambian people,”
Mr Halwabala said that Zambians were not interested in the PF propaganda but wanted change so that their lives could improve.
“HH is unstoppable come 2021 general election day is White Wash more especially if they insist to field Edgar Lungu as their Presidential candidate despite being not eligible to stand “For UPND, Edgar will be the easiest candidate to defeat. PF is in an awkward position because even if they bring a new Presi-dential candidate nothing will change,” he said.
