U.S. to gift Zambia K500m for smart farming

UNITED States government has reaffirmed its  commitment to support Zambian farmers practicing Smart Farming Practices in the face of the drought that has been declared a disaster, having devastated six of the country’s 10 provinces.

Michael Gonzales, the US Ambassador to Zambia said his Government would continue working directly with farmers to improve productivity, nutrition, and livelihoods, while the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and government finalise plans on a massive grant to support agriculture-related infrastructure. He has confirmed that the U.S. government would this year invest more than K500 million (US$20 million) in funding for agriculture, environment, and climate adaptation. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
