We always feared this outcome. We know the worst is yet to come.

There is a saying; he who sups with the devil should have a long spoon.

Literary this means that If you have dealings with dangerous people, you must be careful that they do not harm you.  Those who embrace individuals and personalities with a long record of wrong doing, corruption, fraudulent misrepresentation and sharp practice must be prepared to bear the consequences of a fall out.

Such people are opportunistic and enter relationships for their ultimate benefit. Any damage in the process is collateral and acceptable.

Put in another way if you keep bad company you will need to be on your guard. Sharing a meal with someone usually means you are already on quite good terms with them or that you want to get to know them better. If you agree to partake of the devil’s hospitality, you are on dangerous ground and need to beware.

There is another saying that you can cheat some people for some time but can not cheat all the people all the time. The penultimate time must come when the truth comes to roost.

We feel obliged to repeat this admonition for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see in order to discern the truth and avoid the pitfalls that others before tried hard and managed to avoid..

We see the writing is on the wall and feel duty bound to advise those that have the will to cut their losses to do so before the house collapses. Collapse it will. It is a matter of time, nothing built on lies and subterfuge lasts for long. It may be enjoyed as it lasts but the final consequences are always dire.

Sadly many will be hurt when the house of cards collapses, but this is inevitable when the  reality is built  on lies  and half truths which have no basis in fact or truth.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi has said “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”

Clement Mohamed Andeleki

We pity the people of Livingstone.

Clement Mohamed Andeleki, the man who wishes to represent the people of Livingstone on the ticket of the Patriotic Front is a fraudster who should not be trusted.

 He will tell lies with a straight face and for the unsuspecting, he will appear as a man of integrity truth and goodwill and yet there is little of substance and little of integrity. If he represents the best that the people of Livingstone can be offered by the PF, we think they deserve better.

The people of Livingstone require a man of principle, who will not be ashamed to express his political, religious and social inclination. They need a person they can take on his own word.

As for the PF, our plea is that the party should investigate the man a little more. Ask Registrar Kafunda, study the tribunal that investigated Andeleki at Ziale and then decide whether he is a suitable candidate for the position.

If by misadventure as we understand it, he becomes the Minister of Home Affairs then the country will have everything to worry about.
