KAMULANGA ward 9 Councilor, Jonas Phiri has advised people in the ward of Lusaka’s Kabwata constituency to check their facts before accusing him of failing to perform.

This follows numerous complaints by residents in the ward accusing the civic leader of failure to follow up on development projects and other pressing needs.

“I have received numerous complaints and insults from people on radio and social media that I’ am not working but in fact, we are already on course with developmental projects,” claimed Mr. Phiri in an interview with the Daily Nation.

One of the residents Alexandra Mwila said that the area had nothing to showcase as it was one of the least developed ward in Lusaka district.

“The councilor is not doing the job we elected him in office for, our area has nothing to show we are lagging behind,” he charged.

But Mr Phiri said the ward was earmarked for development with already traceable land marks of a new mall coming in the area and with a clinic and a police post.

“We are already on the ground, anyone can see for themselves on the number of projects that we are undertaking,” claimed Mr. Phiri
